How do I get the optimal price for my car?

The accuracy of the description of your car is relative to the confidence of prospective buyers. The more accurate the description the more confidence instilled in prospective buyers. This in turn leads to higher bids placed on your vehicle. We know from experience that pictures of the car and especially clear pictures of faults and defects, help impact positively on the price as prospective buyers have a lower level of uncertainty (they are fully aware of the extent of the damage). We therefore recommend that you take pictures of both the interior and exterior of the car. Our experience shows the following: The lower the reserve price, the higher the level of dealer interest - this is due to bidders misconception that their chances of purchasing the vehicle are escalated. In reality their chances of purchasing at a lower price decline. Bidding activity increases due to like minded dealers also wishing to purchase the car at a lower price, this has the reverse effect, driving the sale price up. Our experience shows that you get the best price the first time the car is registered for auction - this is because many dealers will not allocate time bidding on the same car repeatedly. If they feel the reserve price was unreasonable the first time at auction, they ignore the car in subsequent auctions. This means that in the first instance, you must work out what price you are willing to accept. Remember - Autocom.dk is an auction, so you can easily receive a price significantly above your reserve price. Often our users research beforehand what a local dealer would offer. This price is often used as a means to set the reserve price. Autocom.dk then locates another buyer who will place a higher bid.
